Netflix Viewers Say ‘Best Show Ever’ Is So Good They’re Already Rewatching It
Viewers are raving about a Netflix series they’re declaring the ‘best show of the year.’
The British crime thriller, which premiered this year, follows a former top-rated detective (Matthew Goode) who is wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralyzed and another policeman dead.
When he returns to work, he is assigned on a cold case that will consume his life.
As well as receiving an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 85% and an IMDb score of 8.5, the TV show is also receiving high praise from viewers.

One fan writes: “I watched the whole season within 24 hours, couldn’t stop thinking about it after watching through episode six, so went back and finished the last three as soon as my work day ended.”
Another adds: “A refreshing gem that captivates from start to finish.”
“Brilliantly executed and immensely satisfying!” somebody else pens. “After a long time, I think I binge-watched an English-language police procedural that ticked off all the boxes for solid entertainment!”
A fourth comments: “One of the finest investigative suspense thrillers I have ever seen.”
Critics are also sharing praise for the British crime thriller.
Lucy Mangan wrote for The Guardian: “This excellent crime drama is a grimy, gothic treat.”
“This series is DEEPLY gritty and unpleasant at times, but what it offers is astounding,” Anne Brodie penned in What She Said.

Created by Scott Frank and Chandni Lakhani, the nine-episode series Dept. Q is based on the book series by the Danish writer Jussi Adler-Olsen.
It stars Goode, Kelly Macdonald, Chloe Pirrie, Alexej Manvelov, among others.
Netflix is yet to confirm whether there’ll be a second season, however, the cast and crew have made it clear they’re hoping for more.
Frank said it’s up to audiences whether there’s a follow-up, commenting: “The last three shows I made were meant to be one and done.
“There was no more to say, but I’d love to do more with this, and the next book in the series is even more interesting and relevant.”
