An ’11/10′ drama series has left Netflix viewers in tears after binge-watching.

With so many news series being added to different streaming platforms, it can be hard to decide what to choose.

If you’re struggling to find something new to watch, maybe consider this TV show that’s left viewers hooked.

Raving about the series on social media, one fan writes: “I’m not usually into doctor shows and could never get into Grey’s Anatomy, but I absolutely LOVE this show.”

Another adds: “What a smashing show. With lots of sense of humor and real-life situation covered both professional point of view and the impact it had on their personal life.”

“Going on my third time watching this show, I have to say that I absolutely love it. As many other reviewers have noted, the humanity of this show is what drove it for five seasons,” a third person says.

Somebody else shares: “Not me balling into my bowl of popcorn because I’m watching the first episode.”

Critics have also praised the medical drama, with Jasmine Blu writing for TV Fanatic: “It’s another medical drama, yes, but it’s refreshing and has so much heart.”

“Encompasses everything viewers have come to expect from the genre. It also manages to avoid cliché, embracing itself for what it is as an emotional drama without sacrificing the gritty and searing truth it is portraying,” Britt Lawrence of Cinemablend said.

Dustin Rowles reviewed for Pajiba: “It does an admirable job of trying to not just treat the diseases or patch up the wounds, but explore the social, cultural, and emotional causes behind them.”

The show also has an impressive rating of 8/10 on IMDb, with over 52,000 reviews.

The NBC show, based on the book ‘Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital’ by Eric Manheimer, follows Dr. Max Goodwin, played by Ryan Eggold, as he tries to reform New Amsterdam Medical Center, a public hospital in New York City.

The official synopsis reads: “After becoming the medical director of one of the oldest public hospitals in the United States, Dr. Max Goodwin sets out to reform the institution’s neglected and outdated facilities to treat patients.”

The series also stars Janet Montgomery, Freema Agyeman, Jocko Sims, Tyler Labine, and Anupam Kher.

To the disappointment of fans, New Amsterdam concluded its fifth and final season at the beginning of 2023.

Eggold spoke with NBC Insider, revealing how difficult it was to end the popular show.

He said: “I don’t think it’ll hit me until a month or three months or a year from now.

“Everyone has always been there to support each other and keep each other going and keep this show and this family together. And that is very moving to me, and to say I’m gonna miss everybody is an understatement.”
