Rising to fame in the early 2010s, Pugh has earned critical acclaim and widespread recognition for her compelling roles in various genres, solidifying her place as one of the industry’s most promising stars.

Joined by the intrepid Bear Grylls, they embarked on a 48-hour journey through the wilds of Costa Rica, facing challenges that would make even Black Widow proud.

During their adrenaline-packed escapade, Pugh shared the story behind her family’s decision to move when she was between the ages of three and six, all based on medical advice.

The Lady Macbeth actress revealed: “We were in Spain because I have a breathing issue, and when I was younger they kind of just advised that a hotter climate would be better.

“I have asthma and I have this thing called tracheomalacia as well.

“And so from a young age, I’ve just had a different breathing system.”

Tracheomalacia is a rare condition that can cause the walls of the windpipe to collapse, obstructing a person’s airway and making breathing incredibly challenging.

For Pugh, this condition was a significant concern during her early years, leading her family to seek a climate that could better support her health.

Thankfully, as an adult, Pugh has found ways to manage her condition, and it no longer affects her as intensely as it did in her childhood.

Ashton Kutcher, in a moving episode, opened up about his harrowing experience with a rare form of vasculitis, a condition that thickens the walls of blood vessels, potentially leading to reduced or cut-off blood supply to certain body parts.

The actor described the terrifying moments when he was temporarily unable to see, hear, or walk due to the life-threatening condition.

Kutcher considers himself fortunate to be alive after surviving the ordeal.
