Meanwhile, Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite takes a visit to a sausage factory to observe the production of vegan sausages, while celebrity chef Briony May Williams acquired the knowledge of crafting an eggless quiche.

The team then embarks on an investigation as to why plant-based sausages so closely resemble their meat counterparts.
John pays a visit to Heck Foods in Yorkshire, where he has the opportunity to meet with Callum Smith, the innovations manager responsible for overseeing the production of over 600 sausages per day.
Callum elaborates on the significance of the sausage casing, sharing that it provides the meat with a satisfying ‘snap’.
He explains: “We utilise a textured vegetable protein and have developed specific flavours to emulate the taste of traditional pork sausages.
“We introduce the meat-free sausage mix and a gel into this small apparatus simultaneously. The gel we use is made from alginate, derived from seaweed.”
Since airing, the programme has faced a backlash from some viewers who’ve expressed their disgust.
