Footage Shows Boy’s Astonishing Reaction As He’s Stalked By A Bear

Footage has been circulated online in which a boy’s astonishing reaction to being stalked by a bear is shown – as he dealt with the situation much more calmly then some adults would have.

Whilst hiking with his family in the Sporminore municipality in Trentino, Italy, a 12-year-old boy came across a wild animal and somehow, manages to stay calm whilst his mum and her boyfriend tell him he must not panic.

The youngster stands just metres away from a brown bear and tentatively walks down the hill as the animal appears to be watching his every move.

His mum’s partner, who appears to be the one filming the hair-raising moment, tells the boy to come forward slowly.

Carefully following the instructions, the boy manages to get closer to his family whilst making the smallest of movements.

Bewildered by the situation, the boy can’t help but look back at the bear. He sees as it is standing on its hind legs and the boy then calls for his mum as the animal appears to have had its attention diverted by a nearby bush.

The footage has since been shared on Twitter and many people have taken to the comments to say how brave they thought the young boy was during a terrifying situation.

One person wrote: “Of course seeing it for the first time and so big maybe I would still be running .. congratulations for the calm.”

Another commented: “Really congratulations to Alessandro and to you for the calm. I fear that ‘normal’, therefore instinctive, behaviour would have compromised everything.”

A third added: “Seeing him in the wild makes an impression! Congratulations to the little one for the courage.”

Thankfully for this family, bears don’t usually attack or hunt humans under normal circumstances. Of course, this wouldn’t matter to many people, as they’d still begin to freak out.

In other news, a woman appears to have defied the laws of physics when she fell from a rope swing.
