Britney Spears’ fans have been left ‘disgusted’ over a ‘cruel’ 2003 interview with Diane Sawyer which has resurfaced.

In the clip, the singer is shown breaking down in tears when probed about the breakdown of her relationship with Justin Timberlake.

The showbiz couple dated for a few years before splitting in 2002.

Listen to Britney Spears’ leaked testimony below…

Sawyer asks Spears: “[Justin] has gone on television, and pretty much said you broke his heart. You did something that caused him so much pain, so much suffering…what did you do?”

She then causes her to burst into tears by saying that she has ‘disappointed a lot of mothers in this country’.

The interviewer went on to make other harsh and judgemental comments about photoshoots Spears had done in the past.

Viewers who are now only seeing it for the first time have branded it ‘out of order’.

Over the past few days, celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker and Justin Timberlake have voiced their support for the #FreeBritney movement.

The latter wrote on Twitter: “After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time.

“Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right.

“No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.

“No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for.

“Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time. We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live.”
