Gabby Petito’s mother has slammed Brian Laundrie’s attorney’s ‘garbage’ statement which he released following the news that the 22-year-old’s cause of death was confirmed to be strangulation.
According to Daily Mail, Nicole Schmidt sent a text message to a reporter moments after Anthony Bertolino attempted to express sympathy for her family which read: “His words are garbage. Keep talking.”

“While Brian Laundrie is currently charged with the unauthorised use of a debit card belonging to Gabby, Brian is only considered a person of interest in relation to Gabby Petito’s demise.
“At this time Brian is still missing and when he is located we will address the pending fraud charge against him.”
Petito’s body was discovered in a campsite close to the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on September 19 following an eight-day search.
She had been travelling with her fiancé when she disappeared and had been documenting the trip on her YouTube channel.
Laundrie then disappeared after reportedly refusing to cooperate with the police and his whereabouts are still unknown. He is now wanted by the FBI.
His family has insisted they ‘do not know‘ where he is.
