Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington is reportedly set to reprise his role as Jon Snow in a new spin-off of the HBO series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the channel is developing a new programme which is set after the events of the original series.
Although there has been a number of prequel projects, this is the first sequel of GOT to be announced.

It hasn’t been confirmed if any other famous faces will return to the series. However, Masie Williams and Sophie Turner’s characters could potentially make another appearance.
After hearing the spin-off news, fans have taken to Twitter and shared their excitement.
“A Jon Snow sequel is in the works with Kit Harrington to reprise his iconic role,” one tweeted. “Jon’s fate in the @gameofthrones finale was sad but satisfying. I believe he was one with the North. This is a sequel I very much look forward to watching. Bring it on @hbo please!”
“I’m genuinely thrilled by the news that Game of Thrones is getting a sequel series focusing on Jon Snow, and it’ll be wonderful to see Kit Harrington back in the role after so long!” said a second. “With House of The Dragon plus all the other spin-offs announced, I’m a very happy GOT fan!”

GOT Season 8 saw Harrington’s beloved character be forced into killing Daenerys because she wanted to take everyone else’s power.
After this, Snow had an official claim to the Iron Throne and decided to leave Westeros to begin a new life.
Harrington was nominated for two Emmys for his performance as the character, who was one of the main roles in the series based on George RR Martin’s fantasy books.
