Love Island’s Gemma Owen, who sparked threats of Ofcom complaints, has shocked viewers with her ‘bizarre’ confession.

The 19-year-old, who is the daughter of footballer Michael Owen, was chatting with the other girls in the villa when fellow Islander Afia asked the group: “Would you lick a pig’s b**hole for two grand?”

In response, many contestants said ‘absolutely not,’ however, Owen answered: “I’d do like… a horse’s a*** is clean. They only eat grass.”

Shocked fans took to Twitter, with one writing: “Gemma Owen would eat a horse’s b**hole for £2000? That’s pocket change to her, those horse girls are f***ing odd sometimes.”

“Gemma‘s managed to tell the Islanders she’d lick a horse‘s a*** before she’s told them her dad is Michael Owen, fair play,” joked a second.

A third chimed in, saying: “Gemma talking about licking her horse’s a***hole. That Owen household needs investigating.”

So let me get this straight; Gemma would lick a horse’s a***hole for two grand?” questioned another. “Michael Owen must be sat at home watching this and thinking to himself, ‘Where the f*** did I go wrong!'”

Earlier on in the show, Owen shocked fans when she revealed her age.

Discussing the fact she’s just 19 years old, one wrote: “Gemma Owen is 19!!! If they’re putting effort into caring for the contestants’ mental health, maybe up the age limit to 21 at the very least.”

Jesus Christ, Gemma is only 19 no wonder Michael Owen was worried about her on #LoveIsland,” commented a second.

Another added: “I don’t know Gemma Owen being only just 19 and going on Love Island with 23+-year-olds really grosses me out.”
