Gogglebox star Ellie Warner reportedly ‘won’t return to the current series’ due to the fact her boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, was hit by a car near Leeds on March 18.

The 31-year-old, who was inundated with support from fans after it happened, has not appeared on Channel 4 since the accident.

A source has reportedly told The Sun: “Ellie’s focus, 100 percent, is on Nat and supporting him in his recovery.

“She’s been told to take as much time off as she needs and it is very unlikely she will be returning during the current series.

“Producers have told her to take as long as she needs.”

Eddleston reportedly had to be placed ‘on a life support machine’ after suffering ‘a broken neck and collapsed lungs’.

After he was struck by the car, West Yorkshire Police told Leeds Live: “The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

According to The Sun, a source close to Warner said: “Ellie is understandably in pieces and everyone is just hoping and praying Nat comes through this.

“Nat is Ellie’s absolute world. She has been totally overwhelmed with messages of love and support. She has barely left the hospital since this happened and Nat is getting brilliant care and treatment.”

Warner joined the Channel 4 programme in 2015 alongside her sister, Izzi. Her boyfriend made a brief appearance on the show during the first lockdown.

After the incident, fans rushed to Instagram and sent well wishes under a picture of the pair.

“Sending you lots of love and prayers and wishing for a speedy recovery,” said one. “Stay strong beautiful.”

Another added: “Sending you lots of love. I had the same injuries 30 years ago in an accident and although it’s a tough road he will get through it.

“I’m only saying this so you know people get through it. Sending lots of positive vibes to you.”
