Gogglebox fan favourites have announced their departure from the Channel 4 reality show.
The Baggs family, who is made up of Terry, Lisa and their two sons Joe and George, confirmed they will be leaving the programme after two years in a statement on their son Joe’s Instagram.
It read: “Hey everyone! Wanted to give you a quick update on the Baggs family.
“After three incredible seasons on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, we have taken the decision to leave the show. We have loved every second of being part of the Gogglebox family and it’s truly been the opportunity of a lifetime.”
Elaborating on their reasons, they continued: “With lots of exciting opportunities approaching for us all, we just couldn’t commit to filming another series but are so grateful for the opportunity.
“Thank you for all of your support whilst we have been on the show and over on TikTok. We hope that you’re as excited as we are for what’s coming next!”
Their co-star Ellie warner, who recently took time away from the series because of her boyfriend’s accident, sent her well wishes to family, writing: “All the best to you guys.”
Fans also commented on their post announcing the news, saying they would be sad to see them go.
One wrote: “My angels, won’t be the same without you! On to bigger and better things.”
“Nooooooo!” said a second. “One of my faves from the show, but to be honest you’re more entertaining over on TikTok.”
A third added: “I’ve absolutely loved watching you all. Your mum’s laugh is just like mine. Will miss seeing you on Gogglebox.
“All the very best for your futures.”
