Fans have been left horrified after lip-reading John Krasinski’s comment to his wife Emily Blunt on the red carpet.
This year’s Golden Globes have already been a source of major controversy.
From Gillian Anderson’s rude dress to Selena Gomez sharing some spicy gossip, to Taylor Swift not getting the joke, the celebrities were out in force to get us all talking.
But one particular red carpet moment between husband and wife Krasinski and Blunt has raised major concerns online.
Lip readers think they’ve figured out what was said – and it’s pretty dark stuff.

Krasinski (best known as Jim from The Office) and Blunt (who recently starred in Oppenheimer) started dating in 2008.
They married in 2010, in Como, Italy – in George Clooney’s estate, no less. The pair also share two daughters Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7.
Over the years, many have held the couple up as an example of a perfect and healthy Hollywood relationship.
However, a recent viral video of the pair may just suggest that there is trouble in paradise.
In a now-viral TikTok shared by CBS, people believe they’ve noticed Krasinski sharing some harsh words with Blunt.
The video, captioned ‘Date night?’ has set the internet on a lip-reading mission to try to find out what was said.
In the video, the pair first posed for pictures, before Krasinski appeared to murmur something to Blunt.
And people have been pretty horrified by what he seemed to say.
“Did he say ‘I can’t wait to divorce’? And she said ‘hey’ and he stated ‘I’m serious’…” one asks.
Another agrees: “I’ve watched this 500 times trying to convince myself he said something other than divorce.”
A third adds: “How many times did I replay this to try and understand what he said!! Please don’t break my heart you two.”
However, not everyone is convinced by this dominant (and depressing) theory.

Many believe the comment was a part of an inside joke between the couple.
One writes: “It kinda does look like he’s saying it as a joke, Emily says something first so maybe he was just joking back.”
Another adds: “I think he’s uncomfortable and doesn’t wanna be there or see someone and she says it’s OK like to calm him.”
One claims Krasinski simply said: “‘I can’t wait to get indoors’, it was really windy and cold.”

Another opines: “He said ‘I can’t wait to get through this.'”
While a third jokes: “Maybe he said ‘I can’t wait for hors d’oeuvres’.”
Fans have strained their ears to try to solve the mystery but it seems as though it just gets trickier to decipher.
One points out: “It’s like that auditory puzzle thing. I can hear either depending on what I’m trying to hear.”
