Gordon Ramsay has ‘upset’ his fans by sharing a vegan bacon recipe.

The celebrity chef has taken to TikTok and admitted to followers that he’s ‘turning vegan… for lunch’ and, in the hopes of convincing others, he showed off how to make a plant-based BLT.

He captioned the post: “Oops I did it again… I played with #vegan teachers’ hearts with this.”

In the video, Ramsay revealed that he uses firm tofu, crumbled tofu, smoked paprika, pepper, granulated garlic, sriracha, soy sauce, maple syrup, cayenne, nutritional yeast, and vegan melted butter to make animal-free bacon.

So far, the clip has been viewed a whopping 13.3million times and many have taken to the comments and said it’s ‘too much’ for them to deal with the fact that Ramsay is ditching his meat-eating ways.

One simply said: “Paper bacon…”

Another asked: “Did @thatveganteacher capture you?”

However, many people have said they appreciate the fact the Hell’s Kitchen star is helping out his vegan followers too.

A fan wrote: “Best looking not bacon I’ve ever seen.”

“What’s with all the comments against plant-based?” a second asked. “Y’all need to start thinking about the environment and fix ya attitudes. Thanks for the recipe Gordy.”

Recently, Ramsay admitted that he was trying to include more plant-based meals in his diet.

In a chat with Yahoo, he revealed the only thing he is struggling with cutting out is dairy.

“Dairy! As a chef, I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to indulge in rich dairies like butter, cream, and milk,” he said. “Oat milk really helped me to maintain that richness in a healthy way. My father passed away at 53 of a heart attack because of a poor diet. I want to set a good example for my children.”
