An 81-year-old gran has revealed that her Egyptian toyboy, who took her for a KFC meal on their wedding day, helps cut her toenails and is the ‘best’ lover she’s ever had.
Iris Jones, from Somerset, married Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham after meeting him through Facebook in 2019 but the pair are now in separate countries as she waits for her new husband to be granted a visa.
Until then, the gran has been expressing what ‘love’ means to her on social media.

In a recent Facebook post, she wrote: “LOVE is… when the one you love cuts your toenails. LOVE is… when the one you love carries you up two flights of stairs when the lift has broken down. LOVE is… when the one you love spends hours looking for the phone you left in an Uber taxi. LOVE is…when [the] one you love sleeps on a hospital floor, and refuses to leave you while you recover from a fall. LOVE is… putting up with my temper when I complained about the heat in Egypt! The heat was relentless and so was my complaining!”
Iris continued: “I love you for everything you are and continue to be, Mohamed.
“Your patience, your understanding, your resolve, your care and your attention to this sometimes, bad-tempered virago of a wife, who loves you to distraction. Thank you for being you and for loving me.”
In response, Ibriham said: “Sweetie, I am unable to respond to this great talk.”
The loved-up post comes months after the pair made headlines when they appeared on This Morning.
In the segment, the couple defended their age gap relationship and Ibriham slammed those who don’t believe he truly loves his British wife.
He stated: “The love does not know any difference between age, or countries. This is our life, Iris chose me and I chose Iris.
“I want to say for all the people who attack our love, it’s none of your business, focus your lives, go to hell. That is all.”
Jones then cheekily quipped: “Normally Mohamed is very shy when he’s speaking, he’s not shy in bed.”
