Greta Thunberg Shares ‘Important Reasons Why Women Have Abortions’

Greta Thunberg shared a list of the ‘important reasons why women have abortions’ following Texas’ six-week ban. 

The activist took to Twitter, where she has 5million followers, and shared a powerful pie chart explaining why females should be allowed to make their own decisions when it comes to their bodies.

At 60%, it said ‘Personal Choice,’ this was followed by ‘F*** Off’ at 22% and at 10% ‘None of Your Concern’. The remainder came under ‘Mind Your Business’.

The post accumulated over 205,000 likes and more than 43,000 retweets.

In the replies, one Twitter user said: “A quick scan of the responses – 99% of the ones objecting to this are men.”

Another added: “Very good Greta, it’s right. Every woman has the right to decide if she wants to be a mother or not, it’s her body and her decision.”

“This is the best thing I’ve ever seen on abortion,” a third tweeted. “Greta, you impressed me when I first found out about you when you were about 12 or 13. You continue to impress me. Thank you for all your hard work, for our planet.”

Thunberg’s response comes after Texas introduced the Heartbeat Act.

The bill means it is no longer possible to get a termination in the state once a ‘heartbeat’ has been detected.

The move has been blasted by many medical professionals, who have said the term is misleading. They claim any beat detected at this point will simply be fetal tissue becoming a heart.

However, there will be exceptions and a pregnant person will be able to have an abortion if there is a medical emergency, as long as a doctor has given written proof.
