A Harvard graduate has revealed she’s lost her job as a result of posting a TikTok video in which she jokes she’ll stab any ‘All Lives Matter’ supporters.
TikTok user Claira Janover has been passionately declaring her support for the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of the continuing protests. Although her dedication to the important movement should be praised, it has been unfortunately overshadowed by the way in which she has approached the matter.
The Harvard graduate posted a video online in which she declared that she would attack anyone with “the nerve, the sheer entitled caucasity to say ‘all lives matter'”.
The woman then zoomed in on her face and said: “I’ma stab you, and while you’re struggling and bleeding out, I’ma show you my paper cut and say, ‘My cut matters too’.”
Harvard senior Claira Janover threatens to stab anyone who says “all lives matter.”
Will liberal colleges and universities ever teach students that speech ≠ violence?

Since the post has caused outrage amongst viewers, Claira has removed the post and has stated that although it was “clearly” a joke, she had been left with no choice. Alongside the video itself, she had written the message explicitly stating: “For legal reasons this is a joke”.
please provide a saluable explanation for firing #ClairaJanover when she CLARIFIES in her comments that the tiktok is a JOKE. It is an extremely illogical move to fire someone before reviewing all the facts. Clearly, black lives do not actually matter to you. pic.twitter.com/jp7YIHB3rG

Despite the statement expressing it was a joke, people still remained unimpressed. Claira has commented that she has been receiving reports over her “domestic terrorism” and that she’s received tags such as “FBI, Harvard, Cambridge police”. People are also beginning to say she’s “threatening peoples’ lives”.
Commenting on the situation, Claira said: “Anyway, so if I get an email from the Department of Homeland Security or I get kicked out of Harvard or I get arrested or whatever — or I get murdered, according to the many death threats that I’m receiving right now — know that I appreciate you guys standing up for me.”
On July 1, Claira confirmed that she had lost her job as a result of the clip. She explained how the Black Lives Matter movement had put her “in a place online to be seen by millions of people”. Yet in the process, she lost the job “that I’d worked really hard to get and meant a lot to me has called me and fired me because of everything”.
#ClairaJanover I love you girl and 🥰🥰🥰 You will find a better job , being apart of the BLM movement is a lot better than being with a racist corporation 🥰🥰 we will get you one better , your on the right side of history pic.twitter.com/XKUJkI2pJ7

According to the New York Post, Claira has been listed as an incoming government and public business service analyst at a UK based accounting firm called Deloitte.
@Deloitte @DeloitteUS as a company that poses to fight against the mistreatment of minorities, why did you fire @clurajan for voicing her frustrations against today's systemic racism? you are actively hurting and silencing a minority voice. #BlackLivesMatter #ClairaJanover pic.twitter.com/qTtD7ruHXH

Despite standing up against “systematic bias, racism and unequal treatment”, Claira was fired. She has since blamed Donald Trump supporters for her job being taken away from her. She said she could deal with “the death threats, rape threats [and] violent threats” but now that her future career was in jeopardy, she felt “entirely compromised because Trump supporters have decided to come for [her] life”.
y’all shouldnt have fired #ClairaJanover over a fucking tiktok of her DEFENDING PEOPLE WHO ARE OPRESSED.. she’s not going to stab anyone, it was an extreme analogy. quit worrying about her stabbing you and start worrying about the black people ACTUALLY GETTING KILLED

Regardless of the backlash, Claira has continued to show her support for the Black Lives Matter movement and has commented that she is “too strong” for “any of you ‘All Lives Matter’ racist Trump supporters”.
She added: “It sucks. But it doesn’t suck as much as systematic racism. And I’m not going to stop using my platform to advocate for it.
“I’m sorry Deloitte, that you can’t see that. That you were cowardice enough to fight somebody who’s going to make an indelible change in the world and is going to have an impact.”
In the wake of the events, hundreds of supporters have shown Claira their support and some have even tagged Deloitte on Twitter, slamming the company’s decision to fire her for fighting against injustice.
