Hooters is being slammed over its lack of plus-sized waitresses.

The debate started when Chyna Turner, from Mississippi, took to Instagram and shared a photo of herself and her friends wearing the chain’s uniform for Halloween to make a ‘statement’.

She captioned the post: “Big Dolls Halloween 2020 #packagedeal.”

In a chat with the New York Post, Turner explained that the restaurant ‘discriminates against bigger women’ and she wanted to prove women can still be ‘sexy and confident’ without being a ‘size 2’.

“My girls and I wanted to make a statement with our Halloween look this year,” she told the publication. “Hooters typically discriminates against bigger women, but I figured showing up and showing out in the Hooters uniform would help spread the message that you don’t have to be a size 2 to do you in a sexy and confident way.”

The woman’s photo has now gone viral and has been shared over on TikTok, where people have questioned why the chain apparently doesn’t employ ‘bigger women’.

TikToker Jason Furches shared a snap of the girls on his TikTok, commenting he was ‘on his way’ if the Hooters hired plus-sized servers.

While on Turner’s post, one person commented: “Big is beautiful.”

Another added: “I’m not a big doll but I am definitely for this. Hopefully, they open up a restaurant and hire just big dolls.”

“Okay, but let’s talk about how beautiful they are!” a third pitched in.

In agreement, a fourth penned: “Just know it would smell like Victoria’s Secret in there.”
