At first, many people raised eyebrows before realising that Miller probably arranged to have them sent before heading into camp.

During his time in Gwrych Castle, the actor has been emotional about being away from his partner and their son, Albert, who is just weeks old.

During a heart-to-heart with David Gino, the football legend told him: “You have a lovely wife. You have a three-week-old baby boy, and you have to be strong for them as well.

“You want to see your son, when your son watches the programme to say ‘Dad was strong. He’s my idol, I want to look like him’. I know it’s hard.”

The 30-year-old received a bit of a backlash over his decision to leave Jones and their newborn to take part in the ITV show.

Defending his decision, Miller told the Mirror: “Everyone is going to have their own opinion. The way I looked at it is, I made the decision once we found out we were naturally pregnant.

“This is three weeks of my life and Albert isn’t really going to remember me being there or not. Steph is doing amazing with breastfeeding, she’s an amazing mum. It gave me even more confidence to want to go to the Castle and provide for the family.

“Alright, I’m not going to have that three weeks, but I’ll spend the rest of his life making that up to him.

“It’ll give me money to be able to do things with him that I wouldn’t have been able to do five or six years ago.”
