Impractical Jokers star Sal Vulcano has shared the show’s ‘new rule’ following Joe Gatto’s shock exit.

The joker told comedian Joe DeRosa on the Tastebuds podcast that the programme will be having a switch up, which will make it more ‘interesting’.

Vulcano explained that in the upcoming episodes – which are currently being filmed – the group, which now consists of himself, James ‘Murr’ Murray and Brian ‘Q’ Quinn, will be joined by ‘celebrities that we think are interesting and are organic to us’.

He explained: “Whenever we need an extra hand, any of us – the new rule is any of us can call in anybody we want at all.

“I did my barber, we’re doing a Halal guy, we did Steve Burns, we did the director of my movie. I can have any friend on I want, you guys are all welcome.”

Presumably, the change has been made to help fill in the gap left by comedian Joe Gatto, who announced he was leaving the TruTV show in December last year.

At the time, he took to Instagram and confirmed that he was separating from his wife, Bessy Gatto, and wanted to focus more on raising their kids.

Addressing his followers, Gatto stated: “Sorry in advance for the long and more serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers.

“Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away.”

He continued: “Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.

“Outside of my family, my relationships with Murr, ‘Q’ and Sal have been the most important in my life. I know they will continue to make the world laugh.

“And even though the four of us are the ones who you all see, this show is only possible due to the hard work of the talented crew members who work behind the scenes. I am very thankful to have worked with each and every one of them.”
