An influencer has been slammed for asking a restaurant to give her a meal for free in exchange for a post on her social media.

A photographer, who goes by the username @adeibb, posted about the incident on TikTok.

In the video, which has five and a half million views, he referred to her as ‘Betsy’ and explained that ‘they aren’t besties anymore’.

He said: “Bro, Instagram influencers are a different breed in LA – like what, I don’t know what they’re on but they are a different breed.

“I just went on a dinner with this Instagram model. She has like 500,000 followers, she’s actually very popular.”

He went on to describe her as ‘so funny’ and ‘great’ and described the dinner as ‘vibes,’ until the bill arrived.

Imitating the model, he said: “She goes like ‘Um excuse me, um do you guys do comps if I post this on my story?’”

In disbelief at her question, the photographer said: “I was like ‘No the f**k you didn’t, I was like no the f**k you didn’t just ask that, no you didn’t that’s so embarrassing – what do you mean?”

He then said that the waiter refused to honour her request and he was forced to apologise on her behalf.

Users were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “I would have just died of secondhand embarrassment.”

“I used to think about this every day! Omg, I used to think ‘Nah influencers don’t really act like that’. Thanks for confirming!” another added.

Taking to the comments, @adeibb updated his followers on the story, telling them that he had been blocked by the model.

“Update, I’ve been blocked,” he said. “That took less than 40 minutes I’m screaming.”
