Irish influencer Tanice Elizabeth Samuels has sadly died.

The Irish-Jamaican influencer – who was a mum of two – had over 17,000 followers on Instagram and would provide fans with fashion tips and beauty and lifestyle advice.

Taking to her Instagram page, her family confirmed the news in a statement.

It reads: “It is with a heavy heart that we are posting this message. Our beautiful, smart and kind Tanice Elizabeth Samuels passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday 18th December.

“Thank you for all the love and support you have shown Tanice on her journey.”

At the time of writing, her cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

People posted in the comment section to pay tribute to Samuels.

Fellow creator Estée Lalonde says: “My heart breaks for your family. Tanice was an angel on earth. From the moment I met her I simply adored her in every single way. All my love to your family.”

Tanice’s sister-in-law pens: “Heaven has gained a truly beautiful soul. She will be sorely missed by all that loved her.

“To never see her smile again n hear her advice breaks my heart. Strength and love to my brother, the boys and her family.”

A third user adds: “Tanice. I’m still in disbelief. What a loss to this world.

“Such an inspiration to so many people. Thinking of your boys, family and friends at this sad time.”

Another fan writes: “Tanice you will be missed greatly by so many. I always enjoyed our time together. Such a vibrant and beautiful woman. My thoughts are with your family who you always spoke of so dearly.”

A fifth fan comments: “I just knew you from afar but this is so devastating sending love and prayers to your family, rest in peace angel.”

Prior to being an influencer, Samuels was a lawyer but changed her career path to work full-time in the fashion industry.

Speaking to Rose Inc she explained: “I had just turned 30 and was spending so many hours in the office, so I started to question if this office life was what I wanted to do forever.

“I completely broke down and was like, ‘I need something for me because all I’m doing is working, coming home, putting my kids to sleep and then going to bed and doing it all over again’.”

Samuels cited her love for ‘experimenting’ with fashion as a reason for ditching her career as a lawyer – but describes herself as an ‘accidental influencer’.

Since becoming a full-time influencer, she has collaborated with the likes of Net-A-Porter.
