Jackie Chan has been slammed by fans over his relationship with his daughter after a movie clip has gone viral.
The legendary action film star and martial artist, 69, is one of the most iconic actors to have graced the screen and he has been wowing audiences with his jaw-dropping stunts for more than four decades.

A recent video has gone viral which features some of his greatest stunts, however, people are talking about it for a completely different reason.

In his latest movie Ride On, Chan plays the role of a retired film star and stuntman.
In one scene, The Tuxedo actor is emotional as he watches a montage of his career – including some of his greatest action moments – with Xiao Bao, his on-screen daughter (played by Liu Haocun) in the movie.
She asks her on-screen father if he was ‘in any pain?’ to which he responds: “A lot.”
This prompts Bao to say: ‘Papa, you’re awesome’, and the two begin embracing one another.
The clip initially received a positive reaction – with some thinking this was real life and not a film.

However, the reception soon turned negative after Twitter added context to the video, with people learning more about Chan’s daughter in real life.
One person addresses claims about Chan, writing: “He and his daughter are estranged while she is financially struggling.”
Someone else comments on the allegations: “What’s crazy about this clip is that this isn’t Jackie Chan’s daughter, she’s a hired actress. Jackie Chan disowned his real daughter, Etta Ng Chok Lam.”
Another user addresses the claims, adding: “Jackie Chan does have a daughter, but he disowned her for being gay, and she has literally become homeless in Canada with her wife because of it.”

Chan married Taiwanese actress Joan Lin in 1982 and the couple remain together.
However, the Around The World in 80 Days star admitted to having an affair with beauty pageant queen Elaine Ng Yi-lei – who gave birth to their daughter Etta Ng Chok Lam in 1999.
Chan allegedly cut off any contact with Ng when he found out she was pregnant – something he reportedly admits to regretting in his memoir ‘Never Grow Up’.
He penned: “When the news broke about an affair I’d had that resulted in a love child, the media frenzy was like a bomb going off.
“It wasn’t a mistake I could fix by saying, ‘I’m sorry’.”

It had been reported that Etta – who is believed to be 23 years old now – didn’t originally know who her dad was and in 2015, she told E! News that she and Chan were permanently estranged.
In 2017, she came out as a lesbian in an Instagram post and married Canadian social media influencer Andi Autumn in 2018.
A few months before Etta and Autumn tied the knot they shared a video on YouTube in which they alleged that they were ‘homeless’ and were sleeping under a bridge ‘due to homophobic parents’.
