Jada Pinkett Smith has sent a message to Chris Rock on Red Table Talk after her husband, Will Smith, slapped him over a joke he made about her at the Oscars.
The 50-year-old reached out to the comedian in a special version of her Facebook show, which focused on alopecia.
Pinkett Smith began the episode by saying: “This is a really important Red Table Talk on alopecia. Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars.

“Thousands have reached out to me with their stories. I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is.”
Addressing the incident at the awards ceremony, she continued: “Now about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.
“The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that keeps figuring out this thing called life together.
“Thank you for listening.”
Jada Pinkett Smith Tells Will Smith Why She Had Affair
The only time Rock has publically spoken out about the altercation was supposedly at the beginning of his Ego Death World Tour.
According to Deadline, he began his show at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston on March 30 by saying: “Let me be all misty and s***. I don’t have a bunch of s*** to say about that, so if you came here for that.
“I had written a whole show before this weekend. I’m still processing what happened, so at some point, I’ll talk about that s***. It’ll be serious. It’ll be funny.
“But right now I’m going to tell some jokes.”
