Jada Pinkett Smith’s fling, August Alsina, appears to have weighed in on the drama surrounding Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars

The 27-year-old took to Instagram and encouraged his followers to ‘choose peace’ after the King Richard star told the comedian to ‘keep his wife’s name out of his f***ing mouth’.

He said: “Choose peace; trusting that life’s intricate puzzle pieces are all forming together for the greater good and mastering of the seasonally, sometimes chaotic, nature of your life’s art piece.

“That’s being formed and painted by birthing life to your internal masterpiece; grown through external chaos-metamorphosing alchemy, dark turned 2 light and beauty within.”

Pinkett Smith previously addressed her relationship with Alsina alongside Smith on her Facebook show, Red Table Talk.

Describing it as an ‘entanglement,’ she said: “I was in a lot of pain. I was broken. Luckily you and I were going through healing. We did everything we could to get away from each other to only realise it wasn’t possible.

“I wanted to feel good. It had been so long since I felt good. It was really a joy to just help heal somebody.”

She continued: “I had to break the needing to fix. Drawn to people who need help. It’s your health. Addiction. Childhood trauma that feels though as it can be fixed through fixing people versus fixing me.”

Following the incident at the Oscars, Pinkett Smith spoke out on social media with a picture post.

Taking to Instagram, the 50-year-old’s photo simply said: “This is a season for healing, and I’m here for it.”
