Jason Momoa has cut his signature long hair off in an attempt to urge fans to stop using single-use plastics.
The Aquaman star, 43, teased his buzzcut to his 17.1 million Instagram followers.
In the video, he rubbed his hands through his new cut and said: “Oh, man, I’ve never even felt the wind right there.”

Momoa went on to hold up a piece of his hair to the camera and explained why he has changed his look.
The actor added: “Shaving off the hair. Doing it for single-use plastics.
“I’m tired of these plastic bottles, we gotta stop. Plastic forks, all that s***. S*** goes into our land, goes into our ocean.

“The things in our ocean, it’s just so sad. So, please, anything you can do to eliminate single-use plastics in your life. Help me.”
He then told fans to stop using plastic bottles and replace them with flasks, canteens, or other metal alternatives.
Momoa added in his caption for the post: “Here’s to new beginnings let’s spread the aloha. Be better at protecting our land and oceans.”
Although the video is only a tease of his new look, fans praised the actor for speaking up on such a serious matter.
In the comments, one user wrote: “Yooooo, big move for a great cause!”
“Ohhhh wowwww!!!! But yes! Agreed! Let’s stop destroying our home,” replied another fan.
A third person commented: “OMG‼ But yeah single-use plastics ARE ridiculous and we have got to stop – with you on that. Thank you for raising awareness.”

Another fan posted: “Hair grows back and it’s for a great cause! I’m sure it will look amazing.”
However, a few fans, while happy for the cause, are upset the actor has changed his signature look.
One user posted: ” Noooo, yeahhhh! But noooo!”
Another fan commented: “We did not approve this did we?”
