This isn’t the first time the actor has subtly shown how he feels about the case.

Gamesrant recently reported that fans of Momoa have taken to social media and been left surprised that he follows Depp on Instagram.

At the time, one tweeted: “Whoa! Jason Momoa is now following Johnny Depp on Instagram! That’s a huge offering of silent support!!! Looks like Scamber [Heard] is losing allies by the second.”

Another added: “In the most telling moves of showing support, Jason Momoa has followed Johnny Depp on Instagram. Heard’s own co-star has chosen his side. Think about that. #JusticeForJohnnyDepp.”

During the defamation trial, there were many times when the Aquaman franchise was brought up.

Reason Amber Heard ‘Was Awarded $2Million’ Despite Losing Johnny Depp Case

At one point, it was claimed that Momoa was involved in ‘saving’ Heard’s role.

Entertainment industry expert Kathryn Arnold took to the stand and testified that the actress’s co-star was ‘adamant’ she stay in the franchise.

It’s believed both Momoa and its director, James Wan, were ‘committed’ to the 36-year-old.

Describing Heard’s time around the first film, Arnold claimed: “It was that moment where not only was she a good actor, but she was now world-renowned because she was in the most successful film… for DC Comics.

“It was just this extraordinary moment for her, for her career to take off.”

She added that it was supposed to be ‘a star is born moment’ for Heard.
