Jennifer Love Hewitt Hits Back As Trolls Says She’s ‘Unrecognizable’
Jennifer Love Hewitt has hit back at social media trolls calling her ‘unrecognizable’ following one particular post.
Hewitt is an American actress, singer, and producer best known for the horror films I Know What You Did Last Summer and the hit TV show Ghost Whisperer.
Like all celebrities, the star’s social media activity is heavily scrutinized and can be subject to harsh comments.
So when Hewitt debuted a new look on Instagram, people had much to say.
Hairstylist Nikki Lee shared a video on her social channels of Hewitt’s long hair being cut into a short bob.
The post was captioned: “Was time to spice things up.”
Many took to the comments and enthused over Hewitt’s new look, with one fan commenting: “Love your hairstyle.”
“Beautiful as always,” added a second.
Another fan said: “That haircut looks amazing on you.”
Yet others took to the comments and accused the actress of going under the knife while speculating possible procedures.
“Wow… she doesn’t look like herself anymore,” wrote one person.
In agreement, a second commented: “Where is Jennifer? That looks nothing like her.”
So to address the social media trolls, Hewitt decided to share even more selfies with a hilarious take.
The Heartbreakers star uploaded a series of photos to Instagram in which she adorns exaggerated filters.
One made Hewitt look like a character from an anime film, while another gave her big eyes.
With each post, she added quips aimed at those who criticized her.
The actress said: “So many people said I look different. I look the same as always. Couldn’t look more natural. I woke up like this. Filters don’t change you that much.
“Let people be filtered or unfiltered. Be good. Be kind. Spread love.”
This isn’t the first time Hewitt has been subject to trolls criticizing her appearance.
She uploaded a selfie for her 44th birthday and explained in the caption how happy and blessed she was to live another year.
Hewitt said at the time: “I am deeply grateful, blessed, happy, sometimes insecure about ageing, a mom of three incredible babies, married to the most handsome and awesome man, and really excited to see what this year has for us.
“I feel magic in the air and I love magic. Off to work… thank you mom for giving me life. I miss you so much. Gonna get my job done and my birthday cheers on later.”

Unfortunately, many people took to the comments to criticize her appearance and claimed she didn’t look the same as she used to.
