Jeremy Clarkson is the fan favourite to replace Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.

The TV presenter quit on Monday evening after receiving a huge backlash for comments he made about Megan Markle. He has since broken his silence and it sounds like he has no regrets.

GMB viewers are now taking to Twitter to suggest former Top Gear host Clarkson takes his place.

One commented: “If I’m honest I always thought Jeremy Clarkson would be perfect for @GMB.”

Another added: “Jeremy Clarkson needs to be the Piers replacement on Good Morning Britain please… Would be very decent.”

“Nothing would please me more than to have Jeremy Clarkson take Piers Morgan’s old position on Good Morning Britain,” a third penned.

Clarkson recently joked about Morgan’s departure on Twitter.

He said: “People of America. You sent Piers Morgan back to the UK. Now look what we’ve sent back to you. Ha. We win.”

Morgan parted ways with the breakfast show after Ofcom confirmed it was investigating the comments he had made about the Duchess of Sussex.

He caused outrage when he said he didn’t ‘believe a word’ of her admission that she had felt suicidal when she was pregnant with her first child.

“I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said,” he said. “Who did you go to? What did they say to you? I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report.”

As a result, over 41,000 people complained and ITV swiftly released a statement explaining he would not be returning to the show.
