Jimmy Kimmel has said he believes people who have refused the Covid vaccination have less right to beds in Intensive Care Units than the vaccinated.
The TV host returned to his late-night chat show after taking the summer off earlier this week.
In the opening segment, he laid the blame for the ongoing restrictions in the US on people who refuse to be vaccinated.

According to ABC, he said: “It was not a fun Labor Day weekend COVID-wise.
“Dr Fauci said if hospitals get any more overcrowded they’re going to have to make some very tough choices about who gets an ICU bed.
“That choice doesn’t seem so tough to me.
“Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right in, we’ll take care of you.
“Unvaccinated guy, who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy.'”
The comedian’s comments come as coronavirus cases continue to rise in America, with over 40million cases now confirmed since the beginning of the pandemic.
Viewers of the programme were divided over the comments, with many taking to Twitter to express their views.

One user commented: “Jimmy Kimmel must believe that the morbidly obese and drug-addicted should also be denied care based on their ‘selfish’ choices. Nice guy.”
While another added: “I chose to get vaccinated. I hope as many people as possible get vaccinated, but unvaccinated people don’t deserve to die & absolutely deserve an ICU bed. What is wrong with you @jimmykimmel?”
However, others took to the platform in agreement with the TV host.
One man tweeted: “Help me settle this: Jimmy Kimmel says if ER doctors are forced to choose to save a medical-science-denying anti-vaxxer or a vaccinated heart attack victim, they should have the right to save the responsible one.
“Like if you agree with Jimmy RT if you strongly agree.”
While another user said: “I agree with @jimmykimmel. Vaccinated people are done playing games.
“If you are unvaccinated by choice, and not because you are under 12 or medically exempt, and you need medical help, go find that Fox News doctor with the demon spells. Science is officially deworming you.”
