Jocelyn Wildenstein has hit back at rumours about her having plastic surgery.

The Swiss socialite, 82, is widely thought to have had extensive cosmetic work done – which even led her to be nicknamed ‘Catwoman’.

She has 1.2 million followers on Instagram and likes to show off her luxurious lifestyle, alongside her age-defying selfies.

And now, Wildenstein has addressed the speculation about her ‘cat-like’ features.

Sitting down with Paper Magazine with fiancé and fashion designer Lloyd Klein, the pair spoke about her life since she disappeared from the public eye.

In 1999, her marriage to her ex-husband and former French billionaire Alec N. Wildenstein ended and landed her a then-record-breaking divorce settlement of $2.5 million.

He died in 2008, but Wildenstein believes that he was the one who came up with the stories about her having plastic surgery.

When asked by the interviewer about being an ‘early adopter’ of cosmetic surgery, she responds: “We speak a lot of plastic surgery because of my husband and the divorce.”

Klein then adds: “Basically, he created that whole story that Jocelyn changed so many times and got surgery a lot. As a fault for the divorce.”

She proceeds to show the interviewer pictures of when she 17 and 18, which prompted her fiancé to claim that Wildenstein has always had cat-like features.

Wildenstein continues: “If you look at one of my mother, she has also the eye shape like this.

“This was a story, and it’s something he chose very well because it stuck to me like glue.

“But the friends I had in Africa, or some friends I’ve had since we were 17, 20, 23 years old, they know me.”

In another interview with the Daily Mail, she once again dismissed the speculation of being subject to cosmetic surgery.

Alongside her fiancé once again, the couple cited that her Swiss origin is the main factor behind her looks.

Klein tells to the outlet: “I don’t understand the whole press and the Catwoman thing because Jocelyn always looked like that.

“She never really did anything to change her face. I have pictures from 16 years old where she looks exactly the same as today.”

When asked if she has ever been on the receiving end of plastic surgery, Wildenstein responds: “No, especially when we look back at my pictures – I think of course I am maybe more beautiful [back then].

“When we are young there’s a certain freshness we lose with the years. But you still find the same eyes, same high cheeks, or same nose. I think I was more pretty.”

Klein adds: “Look, Jocelyn is beautiful, she’s magical. The first time I met her, I was almost mesmerized by the beauty, the eyes, the personality.

“And I work in fashion and I see all these supermodels, and I see everyone, and I see the most beautiful women on the runway, right?

“But Jocelyn, she has something to offer that not a lot of women have.”
