Joe Rogan has explained why he ‘won’t feature Donald Trump on his podcast’.
The American star appeared on the The Lex Fridman Podcast on July 4 and said that although he’s had the opportunity to interview the former president, he’s turned down it because he’s not ‘interested in helping him’.
He told the computer scientist: “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form.

“I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
Referencing what would happen if he actually did interview Trump, he continued: “I don’t know if he would genuinely be there.
“I think he would be putting on a performance.”
After listening to Rogan’s explanation, many people took to Twitter and said the claim ‘surprised’ them, as they thought the pair’s political views seemed ‘similar’.
One tweeted: “That doesn’t sound like Rogan. He knows it would be a ratings bonanza. Oh well, his loss.”
Another added: “He’s basically saying that he’s scared of the backlash and doesn’t want a round 2 of harsh attempts to cancel him.”

“Only saying it so he doesn’t get labelled a conservative after all the controversy he’s been in lately,” a third said.
Elsewhere in the discussion, Rogan also predicted that Trump will attempt to be president once more, insisting: “He’s going to run again.”
Although he’s slammed the 76-year-old, the podcast host has admitted he favours Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, saying that the Republican ‘would work as a good president’.
Recently, the 41-year-old has been branded a ‘threat’ to Trump’s plan to become the GOP nominee for presidency in 2024.
