The Inbetweeners stars Joe Thomas and Hannah Tointon have welcomed their first child together.
The engaged couple, who met on the set of the hit Channel 4 comedy show back in 2010, have reportedly become parents to a baby girl.
“What’s funny is that on Joe’s side there’s only boys, even during the scan they accidentally said he at one point, so they’d gone along thinking it’s a boy.
“Everyone playing the shape game etc said she’s having a boy, so when they finally had a girl.. it was really brilliant, but it knocked them for six.
“So they hadn’t even decided on a girl’s name, they left it as a surprise.”
Thomas – who plays Simon in The Inbetweeners – and Tointon moved in together two years after filming the comedy series, as reported by the Metro. The couple then got engaged in 2017.
Tointon appeared as Simon’s girlfriend Tara, in Series 3 of the Channel 4 sitcom.
Although the pair have been fairly quiet about their relationship, Thomas has opened up about being with Tointon on occasion.
He and his fiancée both appeared in the comedy film The Festival (2018), in which Thomas played Nick, who is dumped by Tointon’s character.

Discussing working alongside his partner with Lorraine on her show, the actor said: “‘I’ve just got used to it. She’s in everything. Because my brain is nice and simple. It went very well, I think.”
When asked if they are able to ‘switch off’ at home, Thomas added: “I guess I do try and switch off when I get home, yeah. Doing comedy all day, sometimes you just want to be calm and chilled.”
Thomas isn’t the only star from The Inbetweeners to have settled down and had kids.
Co-star Simon Bird has two children with his wife, Lisa Owens; Blake Harrison is settled down with Kerry Ann Lynch and they have a daughter and a son, and James Buckley and his wife, Clair Meek, also have two kids.

Joe Thomas isn’t the only Inbetweeners star to have made headlines recently.
James Buckley, who played Jay Cartwright in the comedy, is believed to have become the first UK millionaire from the video platform Cameo, reports The Independent.
In 2021, it was reported that the actor responds to around 37 Cameo requests a day.
At the time, the video platform’s co-founder, Martin Blencowe, reportedly said that Buckley ‘takes it very seriously’, adding: “He’s ready to do the work.”
Blencowe continued: “James was incredibly popular from the start, but he’s stayed committed to his fans, always keeping an accessible price (even during his busiest periods) and giving his all to make each Cameo special.
“In return, he’s gained the financial freedom and overwhelming fan support to pursue the projects he’s most passionate about like 2:22 – A Ghost Story, the West End play I was fortunate enough to see him and Tom star in, and his family’s YouTube channel, At Home With The Buckleys.”
