The reason the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial won’t take place this week has been revealed.
According to Metro, Fairfax County Circuit Judge Penney Azcarate – who is overseeing the case – is believed to have a previous engagement at a conference until May 12.
So Heard’s testimony is set to continue on May 16 when the Aquaman star is expected to be cross-examined by Depp’s legal team.

Before leaving for her set engagement, Judge Penney Azcarate reportedly reminded the jurors that they are not allowed to read, listen or watch anything regarding the defamation trial.
It’s believed she said: “What you learn about this case is limited to what you learn in the four walls of this courtroom when proceedings are underway, okay?”
Before the trial came to a pause, Heard make several allegations about her ex-husband.
She claimed to the jurors that Depp disapproved of a low-cut dress she wore to the 2012 Art of Elysium’s 5th Annual Heaven Gala charity event.

The actress alleged: “I wore a dress to an event once and I felt beautiful in it.
“Stupid as that sounds, I felt pretty in this dress I picked out and I showed him.
“I thought it was weird he wasn’t saying anything about it.”
She added: “I left him to go do this red carpet and I was like, ‘Did you see the event I went to?’.
“Basically, I felt pretty and I wanted him to say something about that I guess.”
According to Heard, when she asked Depp whether he had seen the outfit, he replied: “‘I think the whole world saw that, kid’.
“‘That’s how they’ll remember you, that’s how the world will remember you’.”
