Johnny Depp has claimed that Amber Heard ‘give him a shiner’ when she allegedly ‘hit him’ on their honeymoon.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star made the allegations when testifying during his high-profile defamation case against the actress.

Refuting Heard’s previous claims that he was ‘being violent’ on the Oriental Express from Thailand to Singapore, Depp alleged: “At one point… I don’t remember it lasting long… I took a pretty good shot to the face, to the eye… So I had a bit of a shiner.

“It all ended and then everything got fine again.”

The courtroom was then shown a photo of the pair on the Oriental Express, alongside staff. In the image, Depp appears to have a black eye.

Referencing this apparent bruising, he alleged: “Ms Heard hit me.”

Later on in the trial, the 58-year-old was questioned on whether the photo was an ‘accurate representation’ of how he had looked at the time, to which he replied, claiming: “It certainly looks like me with a black eye.”

Recently, supermodel Kate Moss testified in the trial as a rebuttal witness for Depp.

Appearing via videolink from England, the Brit was asked whether her ex-partner had ‘ever pushed her down the stairs or hit her’.

Recounting an alleged incident that happened when the former couple were holidaying in Jamaica, she claimed: “We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm and as I left the room I slid down the stairs. I hurt my back.

“And I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened and I was in pain.”

She then alleged that Depp ‘carried me to my room and got me medical attention’.
