Johnny Depp fans are praying for the actor after he suffered a ‘painful’ injury.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 59, has starred in a number of blockbuster films such as Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Following his high-profile defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp is set to make his comeback in the French film Jeanne du Barry.

While this is a big deal for the Alice in Wonderland star, it seems promoting the movie has had an impact on his health.

According to TMZ, Depp injured his ankle while doing press for the film at Cannes Film Festival – where his performance as King Louis XV received a seven-minute standing ovation.

The outlet adds that he further injured it while he was performing tribute gigs for his late friend Jeff Beck – who passed away in early 2023.

Depp has now fractured his ankle which has led to his band, The Hollywood Vampires, cancelling a number of their concerts.

The band confirmed this in an Instagram post, where they announced that their shows in Boston, New Hampshire and New York have been postponed.
