Johnny Depp is reportedly ‘in talks’ with Disney over a Pirates of the Caribbean 6 deal.

The actor, who recently won his high-profile defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, is supposedly being ‘offered over $300million to reprise his iconic Captain Jack Sparrow role’.

According to Poptonic, a source has said that the potential movie will ‘feature on Disney+’.

The insider supposedly said: “The deal is reportedly for Johnny Depp to return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and a spin-off Disney+ series about the early life of the Captain of the Black Pearl.”

After adding that the deal was ‘worth $301million’ and would involve ‘a sizeable contribution to charity,’ the source reportedly continued: “What I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character.”

Before this rumour surfaced, Depp had ruled out playing the character again.

He made the admission when been questioned by Heard’s lawyer, Ben Rotterborn, who said to him: “The fact is, Mr Depp, if Disney came to you with $300million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? Correct?”

In response, the actor testified: “That is true, Mr Rottenborn.”

He then added that what he liked about the character was that he ‘could get away with things’ he himself could never because ‘it was a cartoon’.

Depp explained: “Captain Jack Sparrow can do things that I could never do.

“He could say things that I could never say. So it was for me, a way to stretch the parameters of a character and take a risk in doing that.”
