Johnny Depp’s alleged ‘horrific’ text messages to a friend about Amber Heard have been revealed in court, as part of his multi-million defamation case against her.

The alleged conversation between the actor and Isaac Baruch was read out by Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, as she cross-examined Depp’s pal.

In footage from the courtroom, she said: “Do you recall Mr Depp ever telling you that he, in base terms, hoped that Amber’s rotting corpse was decomposing in the trunk of a Honda Civic?

Depp’s friend replied: “I’m not understanding the question, say it again.”

The lawyer repeated herself, saying: “Do you recall Mr Depp saying that he hoped Amber Heard’s rotting corpse is decomposing in the trunk of a Honda Civic?”

Despite objections from Depp’s team, he is then told he can answer the question by the case’s judge.

“Yeah, well I say yes,” Baruch responded. “Yeah, it was written.”

The texts were allegedly sent in 2016, and are reported to have also included another message that read: “That c*** ruined such a f**king cool life we had for a while.”

According to the New York Post, Baruch attempted to brush the line of questioning off by saying: “He’s called me a c*** in a text.”

The friend then became emotional as he called for an end to the proceedings, which the judge described as a ‘soap opera’.

Baruch said: “I want this all to end – her to go heal, him to go heal. So many people have been affected by this malicious lie that she started and she created.

“It’s not fair, it’s not right what she did, and what happened.

“For so many people to get affected from this, it’s insane, how this happened.”

Depp is seeking to recover $50million in damages after an article was published in The Washington Post back in 2018 that he believes implied he is an abuser.
