Johnny Depp’s ex-partner has alleged that the actor was ‘controlling’ during their allegedly ‘sexual’ relationship.

Ellen Barkin appeared in the defamation trial via a pre-recorded deposition, in which she claimed to have met the now 58-year-old in 1990.

She testified that their ‘purely platonic’ friendship took a turn after four years.

Barkin claimed: “He was drunk all the, most, a lot of the time.

“He’s just a jealous man, controlling, ‘Where are you going, who are you going with? What did you do last night?’.

“I had a scratch on my back once that got him very, very angry because he insisted it came from having sex with a person who wasn’t him.”

Heard’s lawyer then asked the actress: “Did there come a time when Mr Depp acted in a way that was out of control with you?”

To which she continued with her claims, responding: “Yes,” before alleging: “Mr Depp threw a wine bottle across the hotel room in one instance, in Las Vegas while shooting Fear and Loathing.

“A fight was going on, between Johnny Depp and his friends in the room, the assistant.”

The 68-year-old went on to add that she would see the star ‘several times a week’ and that their relationship lasted ‘several months’.

Depp denied that this alleged incident happened when Barkin’s claims were also heard during his UK libel case against The Sun newspaper.

Elsewhere in the trial, the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s former friend has alleged that Depp has an ‘insulting’ name for his fans, reports the Mirror.

When testifying in the high-profile case, iO Tillet Wright claimed that the actor could become ‘nasty,’ alleging: “He would insult his fans.

“He called them – I remember, he called them remoras, which is a type of suckerfish that attaches itself to the hull of a ship and puts a hole in it and then sinks it.

“He would rail against his mother, his sister – sisters. Pretty much anyone he felt had crossed him or would cross him. He became very nasty.”
