Johnny Depp has shocked fans with a surprise performance at a Jeff Beck concert in the UK following his defamation trial against Amber Heard.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star appeared in Sheffield over the weekend and joined his pal to sing the song ‘Isolation’ by John Lennon, which they recorded a cover of together in 2020.
Fans were delighted by the performance and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the unexpected moment.

One of the concertgoers tweeted: “Just been to the see Jeff Beck at Sheff City Hall… Johnny Depp… Guest vocals, awesome set!”
Another added: “Johnny Depp’s now back doing what he loves the most! A few days after the end of the trial, he’s on stage with Jeff Beck singing ‘Isolation’.”
A third said: “Johnny Depp on stage tonight with Jeff Beck,” before adding a heart emoji. “So glad he gets to do what he loves after the six weeks of hell he’s been through.”
However, other social media users weren’t as happy with the performance and became engaged in a debate.
Suggesting it proves ‘he wasn’t cancelled,’ one commented: “So Johnny Depp is on tour with Jeff Beck. He played in Sheffield tonight, and will likely play the Royal Albert Hall in London tomorrow and Tuesday.
“That’s the domestic abuse victim waiting for his defamation case verdict. The one who’s been cancelled.”
Shooting back, a separate user responded: “Why are people saying that the fact Johnny Depp is on stage with Jeff Beck aka one of his longtime friends, one of the only ones who kept supporting him through the years is proof he hasn’t been cancelled?
“The man literally lost his biggest main roles because of fake accusations.”
