Johnny Depp’s witness was ‘ejected from court’ while testifying as part of his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Gina Deuters, who is a friend of the actors, reportedly had her testimony removed from the record and was dismissed after admitting that she had watched clips from the trial online.

The actor’s witness is married to one of Depp’s staff and before being ‘ejected,’ she answered questions about the 58-year-old’s drug and alcohol use.

After Deuters testified that she’d never seen Depp violent or angry, Heard’s legal team asked for permission to approach Judge Penney Azcarate.

In response, the judge called a recess. Upon returning, she asked the witness: “Have you been watching the trial this past week?”

To which Deuters replied: “I’ve seen clips of it online, yes.”

After ruling the testimony inadmissible, the judge opted to play video evidence from Dr David Kipper, who reportedly treated Depp for addiction.

It comes as the pair’s former marriage therapist said there was ‘mutual abuse’ in the relationship.

Dr Laurel Anderson appeared as a witness as part of the proceedings on April 14 and was asked whether Heard had reported experiencing any violence from Depp.

She reportedly said yes and alleged she’d seen photos but couldn’t recall when precisely.

The therapist apparently continued: “He had been well controlled for, I don’t know – 20, 30 years, and both were victims of abuse in their homes, but I thought he had been well controlled for decades.

“And then with Ms Heard, he was triggered and they engaged in what I saw as mutual abuse.”

Elaborating on what the term meant, she added: “Sometimes – I know she led on more than one occasion and started it to keep him with her because abandonment and having him leave was her worst nightmare. And I think he may have initiated it on occasions too. That I’m less sure of.”
