Jordan Cashmyer’s ex, Derek Taylor, with who she has a child, has reportedly shared a ‘cold-hearted’ tweet following the shocking death of the 16 And Pregnant star.

After hearing the 26-year-old had suddenly passed away, many fans paid tribute to the star on social media, with some expressing their condolences to the father of her child.

The publication, which is believed to have found the response in a Teen Mom forum, claims that Cashmyer’s ex faced backlash for his words.

In response to his tweet, one Cashmyer fan said: “It’s still very sad to be this cold about a life lost. Their daughter is still gonna feel the pain of the loss of her mother one day.”

Another is believed to have commented: “His poor daughter did lose the chance at a future with her mama. And that’s heartbreaking.”

TMZ reports that Cashmyer died on January 16, and her father, Dennis Cashmyer, announced the news in a statement.

Reportedly, he said: “Last night I received a call no parent ever wants.

“My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan has passed away, she was only 26 years old. Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should ever have to go through losing a child, EVER.

“Please keep my family in your thoughts prayers as we navigate through this terrible tragedy. Please understand and respect our privacy at this time.

“We are surrounded by the love and support of our children, granddaughter Lyla and family members.”

So far, Cashmyer’s cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Cashmyer and Taylor found fame in 2014, around the time they welcomed their daughter, Genevieve Shae Taylor.

It’s believed that not long after their daughter’s birth, the couple called it quits.

Later on, in 2015, Cashmyer reportedly signed away her custody rights over to Taylor’s family on a temporary basis.
