Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn has reportedly been ‘detained at a US airport’.
The 29-year-old, who plays Eddie Munson in the franchise, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and recalled the alleged incident.
He claimed: “I was held up at immigration yesterday… and I was taken into, I guess what you could call it more of a dungeon.

“And I was waiting for about 20 minutes and then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’.
“I said, I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. And he didn’t believe me.”
The British actor went on to claim that another immigration officer recognised him, adding: “And one of his colleagues looked over at him, looked at me and said, ‘Leave Eddie alone!’.
“And then he said, ‘It’s Eddie from Stranger Things’ and he was like, ‘You’re Eddie Munson?… Do you come back next season?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know’… and he said, ‘You better’ and gave me my passport.”
After hearing Quinn’s story, fans have taken to Twitter and reacted.
One tweeted: “If only he had this kind of plot armour in the show.”
“Now imagine he wasn’t in Stranger Things,” a second user mused.
A third pitched in, commenting: “Poor Eddie, always thought of as a villain.”
“Eddie Munson’s impact is on another level,” added another.
Recently, Quinn appeared on an episode of the Off Menu podcast and chatted to comedians Ed Gambles and James Acaster about appearing on Stranger Things.
He told the pair that he felt like a ‘sociopath’ for putting on an American accent in the Netflix hit, commenting: “After a while, I was so far down the rabbit hole, at points, I’d be like, ‘Do I sound good? Do you like this? Do you like what I’m doing?’.
“I was talking to Joe Keery and at one point I was so deep in it, and he was like, ‘Dude, I can’t save you, but I promise you it’s gonna be fine’.”
