Jung Chae-Yul has tragically died aged 26.
The South Korean actress is best known for starring in the Netflix series Zombie Detective.
She was also recognised for roles in the film Deep and the K-drama I Have Not Done My Best.
Chae-Yul’s agency, Management S team, has now shared a heartbreaking statement regarding the actress.

As reported by MK News, it reads: “We have to deliver very heartbreaking and unfortunate news. Actress Chae-Yul left us on April 11th.
“According to the wishes of the bereaved family, who are in greater sorrow than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly and privately.
“We earnestly ask you to refrain from spreading rumours and speculative reports in this regard.”
Chae-Yul’s cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
The CEO of Chae-Yul’s management agency, Lee Soo Haeng, also gave an emotional telephone interview on OSEN in the wake of her death.

He said: “Our Chae-Yul was very hardworking. She was a deep-hearted and cool friend.
“In my opinion, it is hard to describe in words how amazing she was as an actress.”
He went on to add that he was so proud of the young actress for making such huge steps in her acting career.
Chae-Yul was set to star in the highly anticipated K-drama Wedding Impossible, which is currently in production.
However, out of respect for the actress, it has been shut down until at least April 12, as reported by the South Korean outlet Star News.
Chae-Yul began her career as a model and appeared on the 2016 reality show Devil’s Runway, which is about models who team up and battle against one another for a lucrative prize.
After finding success on the programme, Chae-Yul branched out into acting.
She appeared in a number of K-dramas before starring in Zombie Detective – which follows a zombie and a writer as they team up to solve cases.
The show was well-received among viewers and was a success on Netflix.
Since Chae-Yul’s death has been announced, fans of the I Have Not Done My Best actress have taken to the comments of her Instagram to pay tribute to the star.
