Kanye West, otherwise known as Ye, is reportedly facing a misdemeanour battery charge after allegedly ‘punching a fan outside an LA members club’.
According to reports, the American rapper is being investigated after an alleged incident took place outside Soho Warehouse on the morning of January 13.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released a statement confirming that the dad-of-four is a ‘named suspect’.

The statement reads: “A battery report was completed with Kanye West as a named suspect.
“No arrests have been made and the incident is being investigated by our Newton Division.”
At the time of the alleged incident, the 44-year-old was believed to be hanging out with his new girlfriend, actress Julia Fox, boxer Floyd Mayweather, and popstar Madonna. He eventually left, leaving his date behind.
West supposedly ‘punched the fan’ after they approached him and ‘asked for his autograph’.

TMZ reports that the billionaire was walking down the street afterwards when he yelled: “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not.
“Cos that’s what happened right f***ing now.”
If convicted of the misdemeanour battery charge, West could face the maximum sentence, which is believed to be six months.
A day before the alleged incident took place, it was announced that West is one of the headliners at the Coachella music festival, alongside Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.
It will mark his first time performing at the North America festival since 2011.
