Katherine Ryan has slammed claims that she ‘covered up her daughter’s black eyes with a mask’ for a Halloween photo.

It all started when the comedian took to Instagram and shared a snap with her partner, Bobby, their baby son Fred, and her daughter from a previous relationship, Violet.

The four were dressed as the characters from The Incredibles, so all donned eye masks.

However, many people took the comments and shared concern about Violet’s ‘bruised looking’ eyes.

In response, Ryan took to her Instagram stories and explained that she did ‘scary, spooky makeup’ for her daughter.

The 38-year-old said: “Yesterday, Violet did scary spooky makeup for her main costume and then popped on a mask to be in our family Incredibles costume.

“Some people commented, ‘Does Violet have two black eyes?’ And I said ‘No, it’s makeup’ and they weren’t happy with that answer.

“So now I got DMs, people will be like, ‘What’s really wrong with Violet’s eyes?’ This is why I don’t post photos of my child.”

Concluding the video, she added: “If you actually think Violet has black eyes, don’t DM me, call the f***ing police! What’s wrong with you?

“Happy Halloween.”

Before making the statement, many insisted the ‘black eyes’ didn’t ‘look like makeup’.

One follower said: “Am I the only one who noticed Violet’s black eyes? Hope she is okay.”

Pitching in, a second commented: “It doesn’t look like makeup.”

However, the majority of comments were positive, with many followers saying the family had ‘nailed it’.
