Katherine Ryan has spoken out again after alleging that a famous TV star is a ‘predator’ and everyone in the industry knows.
The Canadian comedian and writer, 39, has appeared on shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats and The Duchess.
Over the years, she’s made headlines for her candid comments, having previously blasted the showbiz industry for being sexist and ageist.
But her latest claims on there being a ‘predator’ within the industry has left people speechless.
Find out more about Katherine Ryan’s ‘predator’ claims in the clip below…
It all started last week when Ryan’s appearance on journalist Louis Theroux’s BBC series, Interviews, aired.
The Your Face or Mine? star alleged at the time: “It’s very dangerous for us to have this conversation.
“I’m happy to have it, but it’s a litigious minefield because lots of people have tried to nail this person down for their alleged crimes and this person has very good lawyers, so am I going to put my mortgage on the line by saying who this person is or entering into any conversations like that?
“We’ve seen what happens to people who talk about alleged predators.”
Ryan, who said she has never been a victim of the alleged ‘predator’ herself, continued: “It’s not really my story to tell.
“No one has perpetrated any s**ual assault against me, but this person, I believe very strongly – many people believe very strongly – is an open secret, is a perpetrator of s**ual assault.”
Ryan’s interview quickly circulated online and many took to Twitter and urged the comedian to speak out and name the alleged ‘predator’.
However, the Taskmaster star has made it clear this won’t be happening.

In a statement on Instagram, which was posted on Friday, Ryan stated: “In my original context this was about my experience and the shared experiences of my colleagues faced with the moral dilemma of whether or not to take a job when you think you’ll be working with a creep.
“I decided on a personal compromise. Fine to speak about that experience when asked, I wasn’t trying to ‘out’ anyone or name anyone…but then, they don’t want his name.”
Ryan went on to say that instead, she had had people calling for her to name the alleged victims.
She continued: “They [the media] want women’s names so they can ring them up, pressure them and print their stories and associate them constantly with this s***.
“Leave these women alone. I will not be discussing this ever again so don’t ask me.”

Prior to her statement, some people had taken to social media and defended Ryan’s decision.
One tweeted: “It’s understandable why you can’t mention it to be honest, as [it] will ruin everything you’ve earnt if he and lawyers come for you.”
While another added: “But at least she has ‘highlighted’ this.
“She says it’s ‘open secret’ on a TV show. Therefore where’s everyone else? Why has no one else ‘highlighted’ this? She knew the attention this would receive, whilst protecting her family.
“I applaud her, well done Katherine.”

During her interview with Theroux, Ryan did claim that she had actually confronted the alleged ‘predator’ when on an unnamed show.
She told the journalist: “I called him a predator to his face and in front of everyone that day.
“What am I supposed to do? It’s such a messy thing because I don’t have proof. What, am I not supposed to feed my children because of someone else?”
However, this segment of the programme was ultimately cut.
Remarking on the incident, Ryan said: “I still got paid and I still did my job, but I did it in my way, which I thought was fair.”
