They say all good things come to those who wait. And the news we’ve waited for, for so long is sure to put a smile on every fried chicken enthusiasts face this Monday morning. KFC has confirmed that another 500 of its stores are about to reopen for contactless delivery by the end of this week.
KFC has announced this morning that by the end of this week, KFC fans in over 500 locations will be reunited with their favourite fried chicken via contactless delivery. Sadly, not all fan favourites will be back onto the limited menu just yet, which has been designed to help team members maintain social distancing in the kitchen, but all the classics will be back with a bang.
The news was announced this morning and it comes as the fast-food chain has unveiled their latest advert featuring those at home trying to recreate their own KFC dishes at home by using the #RateMyKFC on Twitter.
In the midst of this global pandemic we find ourselves in, plenty of adoring KFC fans have attempted to have a go at making their own versions of the Colonel’s legendary menu, with varying degrees of success, but now the time has come once again for us all to enjoy the real deal.
Talking ahead of the reopening of the restaurants, Paula MacKenzie, General Manager at KFC UK and Ireland, said: “500 restaurants reopening is a huge milestone. It’s a credit to the hard work of all of our amazing teams in restaurant and we wanted to celebrate the moment.”
“We’ve loved seeing the nation’s homemade efforts whilst we’ve been away, so including a few of them in our new ad is the perfect tribute. Some of the creations looked incredible, some less so… now that we’re back on delivery, probably best we take it from here!”
Judging by some of those efforts, it’s probably a good thing that KFC will be back in our lives soon.
