Kim Kardashian has angered her followers by allowing her daughter, North West, to dress up her pet bearded dragon.

The 40-year-old recently took to social media to share images of the reptile wearing specially made miniature versions of her popular SKIMS collection.

However, fans have hit out and claimed they’re ‘scared for the lizard’s safety’.

Before the backlash had started, Kardashian took to Instagram and told her followers that the dragon, called Speed, is the ‘newest member of the family’.

She said: “Meet the newest member of our family…Speed. I really wasn’t planning on liking Speed the way I do but she grew on me!

“Speed was really my BFF Allison’s and we babysat for a week and she never left and it’s been months!

“Speed got a makeover with custom SKIMS Cozy and even the Lil Uzi jewel (Speed actually got the jewel a few months back; North always knows what’s up!).

“North and her bearded dragon go everywhere together, it’s kinda cute!”

Some of her followers said the post left them feeling  ‘uncomfortable’ and accused the reality TV star of treating the bearded dragon like a ‘toy’.

One follower commented: “The beardie needs its nails looked at. So overgrown. Please take to the vet. They’re not toys.”

Another fumed: “Please take that stupid [jewel] off its head. They have a sort of sensor (pineal eye) on top of its head to detect predators and putting something like that on it could cause an animal a lot of distress.”

Others begged the star to drop a full SKIMS collection for pets.

Stop the world. We want to get off.
