Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been slammed over their ‘offensive’ Halloween costumes.
The couple, who recently got engaged, caused outrage when they shared pictures online showing them dressed up as Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious and his girlfriend, Nancy Sprungen.
The famous pair had a highly-publicised, toxic relationship that ended tragically in 1978 when Sprungen was found dead with a single stab wound to the abdomen. Vicious was charged with her murder but died of a heroin overdose before the case went to trial.

Kardashian and Barker have been slammed for ‘romanticising’ their tragic story, with one person writing on Instagram: “This is so insensitive.”
Another follower wrote: “Glamorising drugs and murder and toxic relationships and dressing up as two very tortured souls who had a sad end isn’t very cool.”
“Considering Nicole Brown’s murder and how close she was to your family I’m really surprised you thought this was appropriate, regardless of it being a Halloween outfit. Disgusting,” a third penned.
A fourth pitched in, adding: “I’m sure the Spungen family love that you turned Nancy and her [alleged] killer into your 2021 Halloween Costume. Maybe think your next costume out.”
However, other fans have jumped to the couple’s defence, with one person writing: “People overthink everything. It’s Halloween costumes. No different than Michael Myers, Jason, Freddy, Penny Wise, Carrie, etc… etc… etc… Get over yourselves.”
Another added: “For all you people commenting, you do realise that we all dress up as monsters and serial killers for HALLOWEEN!
“Bonnie and Clyde (that murdered hundreds of people). And don’t forget the musicians and actors that killed themselves or overdosed and nobody says anything!
“I think they look great and I’ve seen a thousand Sid and Nancy duos.”
