The incredible number of celebrities spotted in Kristen Bell’s Instagram picture has gone viral and taken the internet by storm.
Fans have been poring over the picture, attempting to identify all the famous faces in what feels like a celebrity version of ‘Where’s Waldo.’
While it’s not surprising that celebrities often mingle with one another, there’s something particularly intriguing about seeing them together in a casual, out-of-work setting—especially when it’s not tied to an industry event like an awards show.
When Kristen shared the photo in summer 2023, fans couldn’t contain their excitement.
They were fascinated not only by the sheer star power on display but also by who was seated next to whom.
While Kristen herself wasn’t visible in the photo, implying she might have been behind the camera, the picture still overflowed with enough Hollywood heavyweights to more than make up for her absence.
Some celebrities stood out immediately due to their prominent positions in the frame.
For instance, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox – best friends both on Friends and in real life – were seated opposite each other, their smiles as recognizable as ever.
Just a few seats down, fans could spot Jason Bateman, known for his roles in Arrested Development and Ozark.
Meanwhile, Parks and Recreation’s Adam Scott was also in attendance, seated near Bateman.
Across the table, Kristen’s husband, Dax Shepard, could be seen grinning widely, while Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, was positioned toward the far end of the table.
But the star-studded guest list didn’t stop there.
Also present were comedian John Mulaney, actor Olivia Munn, YouTuber Mark Rober, actor Shiri Appleby, CNN journalist Jake Tapper, and actor-writer Tim Curcio.
With so many celebrities crammed into one photo, it’s easy to see why fans were awestruck.
The photo wasn’t just a random gathering, however.
Fans later pieced together that it was taken during Jimmy Kimmel’s annual group retreat at South Fork Lodge in Idaho.
This event, hosted by Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney, is apparently a yearly tradition that draws an impressive list of attendees.
Kristen Bell has previously spoken about the retreat, revealing in an interview with Forbes that around 40 friends typically join the getaway each year.
“Jimmy Kimmel and [his wife] Molly McNearney, who are two of our best friends, organize it,” Kristen shared during the interview.
The photo sparked widespread admiration online, with one commenter summing it up perfectly: “This photo from Kristen Bell’s dinner party gets increasingly WTF as you go down the table.”
Another joked: “I’m just imagining being in a small Idaho airport and seeing this hoard of A-listers arriving, lmao.”
A third fan simply called it ‘a table of legends.’
